Now, the newly born Women Cricketers of Nepal are ready to test themselves. And we are waiting for the different taste of cricket when a bunch of enthusiastic faces will take their international counterparts for the first time. They will take part in the ACC women’s Cricket Tournament in Malaysia. Nari Thapa, who already is a National player of Badminton, is leading our mission. What can we expect from them?
Can they make A sensational entry in the international level upsetting their opponents?
Or they will just make some funny moments in the field or enjoy a foreign visit?
We don’t have a long history of Women’s Cricket. This team is of course under prepared. So it is better not to hope any thing. Even though, In the international level also, Women’s Cricket is not matured at all. So there is enough chance for the Nepalese girls to repeat the story what the Nepalese male cricketers have done.
It is for sure that, as our tradition these girls will struggle with the bat. The weakness is already poured in the National Tournament in which we saw many ridiculous batting figures. This team will be depended on the bowling. And they may have good fielding side.
Hope for the success of our Cricketing Sisters. Best of Luck.
